A strong representation was evident from other Eastern Bay of Plenty Alliance members including T\u016bwharetoa Ki Kawerau, T\u016bhoe and Whakat\u014dhea.<\/p>\n<p>The Minister announced new funding options for the Eastern Bay of Plenty including funding to upgrade current Mental health inpatient units and an increased investment into local community programs.<\/p>\n<p>Of particular note was the announcement to establish a new pregnancy parenting service-(PPS) within the Eastern Bay of Plenty. The PPS program is expected to provide an intensive assertive outreach case coordination service for parents of children aged under three-years-old and pregnant women who are experiencing problems with alcohol and other drugs that are poorly connected to health and social services.
